First of all, thank you all for such an overwhelming response.

We received a lot of amazingly beautiful images and we have selected the finalists. We are uploading the images with the name of the sender. Now, you get to choose the winner of our first photography competition. Simply type the name of the person whose image appeals to you the most in the comment box below. You have till 8th of September to vote and then we declare our winner on the 9th of September. So, get busy voting!

Oddroad I took - A Photography Competition

An image can speak a thousand words and we want you to speak to us through your images. Think back in your life and think deep of a time when you have taken an 'Oddroad' in life, when you have done something different, something in your own way, on your own terms. Send us an image which describes such a moment and you can stand a chance to win something awesome from the Oddroad family. 

We present to you a photography competition with a difference. We present to you 'Oddroad I took!'  This is a unique opportunity for you to showcase the 'Oddroader' in you.

Rules are very simple:

Step1: Like the Page.

Step 2: Send in an image which describes the theme (Oddroad I took). 

Step 3: Mail it to info.oddroad@gmail.com. Send in a little description of the image and yourself.  Make sure the image is JPEG and not bigger than 2mb. The image can be taken with any kind of camera. (eg: phone camera, dslr etc)

Step 4: Send in by 31st of August. 

Step: 5: The winner will be announced on 2nd of September. 

Step: 6: Spread the word with your friends and family by tagging and sharing.

Step 7: Wait for the final results. 

The winnings: The winning image will be showcased as the cover photo of the Oddroad Facebook Page and also will be shared on all our different social networking sites. The winner will also win a fun Oddroad goodie bag!

Advanced Photography Workshop

The Diary of an Oddroader brings COMPOSE, an Advanced Photography Workshop with KG Pictures, on 17-Jun-12 (Sunday) in Bangalore.

What the workshop is all about? Gomtesh will be teaching & demonstrating on:
1. What are the basic stuff you need to take pictures. 
2. How to prepare yourself before going to a shoot. 
3. How do you know when to shoot and what to shoot. 
4. Composing and taking good pictures. How to frame. 
5. Lighting and focusing.
6. Post processing your pictures.

To make the event more interesting, we are having a photography contest with easy steps.

1. Send in a photograph which, you have taken which covers either of the topics: Play of light & shadow/depth of field. [It can be taken with a a normal/DSLR camera. It should be a JPEG with a min size of 300KB and max of 3MB.]
2. Come for the workshop and see the winning photograph being part of the discussion itself. 

[Note: Each contestant can submit only one of his/her Photographs]

Winnings: The winning photograph gets to be part of the workshop itself & Oddroad Goodies.
